On April 9, after a brief introduction by professor Vanja Polić, we will be showing the first film – a documentary named “Stories We Tell” (2012), directed by Sarah Polley. Snacks and beverages are waiting, and the only thing you have to do is show up and enjoy.

English Student Club X.a., in cooperation with the Croatian Canadian Academic Society, presents:

Starting with April 9, each Tuesday we will screen a contemporary Canadian film in the French Department’s audiovisual study room (A-107) at our faculty.

The films will be screened in anticipation of the panel discussion “Frontier Societies” which will take place as a part of our conference this year, Anglophonia: New Frontiers, which will take place between 9 and 11 May at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

This year, we have also prepared a preliminary “Reading and Watching” list to accompany our conference, which includes works that will be discussed by the presenters, but also the films which we will be showing. You can see the list here.

The films will be projected exclusively for educational purposes and for broadening the public’s knowledge of cinema, and as such the screenings are completely free.
